My current role is as an Ultranet Coach with Southern Metropolitan Region of the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
The Ultranet is an intuitive student-centered electronic learning environment that supports high quality learning and teaching, connects students, teachers and parents and enables efficient knowledge transfer.
My role is to assist schools plan and prepare for its implementation. This has centered around developing eLearning plans. These plans aim to develop capacity in eLearning Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Assement and Reporting, Professional Learning, Access to technology and flexible learning spaces and engaging in virtual learning communities. As we work to support schools to implement their plans I have been working to build networks within and between schools and have been providing professional learning on a wide range of skills and topics and in a range of formats.
My particular interests and passion lie in how such an electronic learning environment can fundamentally change the way we provide learning opportunities to our students and allow us to differentiate the curriculum and tailor learning for individual student need and interest.
